The standard clearance is 38mm, and the required mounting height is 838 to 914mm from the top of the grab bar gripping surface to the finish floor. The 914mm horizontal grab bar is for the back wall, and the 1067mm one is for the side wall or partition stall. The grab bars are designed and tested to exceed HUD, HEW, FHA, VA, and other Federal, State, and local codes, including the ADA.
Using your Bobrick grab bar is easy. Just hold onto it firmly when you need support in the bathroom. When mounting, make sure to follow the required height of 33 to 36 inches from the top of the grab bar gripping surface to the finish floor. Use appropriate screws (not provided) for installation. For maintenance, simply wipe the bar with a soft cloth and mild cleaner to keep the matte black finish looking great. Avoid using abrasive materials that could scratch the surface.
