The Swing - Up Grab Bar is crafted from 304 stainless steel alloy (18 - 8) with a Satin finish. It features a 1 - 1/2” diameter (Ø38) tubing hinge and a solid bar axle with an adjustable friction sleeve balance. You can easily control the bar's movement using the provided hex head clamp bolt, and it's operable with just one hand. The bar mounting plate comes with a top arm stop bumper to prevent the raised arm from hitting the wall. Additionally, the bar tube has a plastic end cap to cushion contact with the wall plate when in use. This exposed flange (1 - 1/2″ O.D) smooth swing - up grab bar offers a practical and reliable solution.
Using this swing - up grab bar is a breeze. You can operate it with one hand. Just use the hex head clamp bolt to adjust the tension for the bar's movement. When raising the bar, the top arm stop bumper on the mounting plate will protect the wall from getting banged. The plastic end cap on the bar tube cushions the contact with the wall plate when you're using the bar. As for maintenance, keep it clean with a mild soap and water solution. Avoid using abrasive cleaners as they might damage the Satin finish. Check the adjustable friction sleeve balance and the hex head clamp bolt regularly to ensure they're in good working condition.
