The ASI 3502-48 is a 48-inch straight grab bar with a 1-1/4-inch diameter. Strengthened by an intermediate support, it has a smooth finish. Crafted from 18-gauge stainless steel tubing with an attractive satin finish, it reduces fingerprints while adding a nice shine. At both ends and the center, there are 3-inch diameter flanges made of type-304 stainless steel, herliarc welded to the tubing. Each flange has three 7/32-inch countersunk, predrilled holes for No. 10 self-tapping or oval head mounting screws (not included), placed about every 120 degrees for a secure installation. After mounting, the hardware is fully exposed. This grab bar meets or exceeds ADA requirements.
Using this grab bar is easy. First, choose a suitable location on the wall. Then, use the predrilled holes in the flanges to install it with No. 10 self - tapping or oval head mounting screws (you need to buy them separately). Make sure to place the screws about every 120 degrees for a firm fit. When using, hold the bar firmly for support. As for maintenance, simply wipe it with a soft cloth regularly to keep the satin finish clean and free of fingerprints. Also, check the mounting hardware occasionally to ensure it remains tight. Avoid using abrasive cleaners as they may damage the surface. This grab bar is designed to meet or exceed ADA requirements, so you can use it with confidence.
