The ASI 3454 is a locking, swing-away grab bar with a 1-1/4-inch diameter. It has a smooth finish. When not in use, the bar lies flat against the wall. When needed, it can be opened to stand perpendicular to the wall, extending 30-1/4 inches from the wall at its widest point. Crafted from 18-gauge stainless steel tubing with an attractive satin finish, it reduces fingerprints while still looking shiny. For extra safety, you must lift the bar upward before opening or closing it. It's attached to a 33-inch stainless steel post and can support up to 250 pounds when properly installed, meeting ADA and other accessibility guidelines.
Using the ASI 3454 grab bar is easy. When you need to use it, just lift the bar upward first and then open it until it's perpendicular to the wall. When you're done, lift it again and close it so it lies flat against the wall. Remember, for safety, always make sure it's properly installed and can support up to 250 pounds. To keep it in good condition, clean it regularly with a mild cleaner. Avoid using abrasive materials that could scratch the satin finish.
