The ASI 3451-P is a locking, swing-up grab bar. It has a 1-1/4-inch diameter and a peened gripping surface. The 29-inch long and 8-1/4-inch tall grab bar is made of 18-gauge stainless steel tubing with a satin finish that reduces fingerprints while adding an appealing shine. When not in use, it can be folded vertically against the wall and stays securely. Pull it down to the horizontal position for use. A special tension control system stops it from falling or dropping randomly. The included mounting bracket, made of durable 7-gauge stainless steel, has six pre-drilled holes for easy installation on any hard surface. After installation, the mounting hardware is exposed for easy modification or relocation.
Using this grab bar is easy. When you need to use it, just pull it down from the vertical folded position on the wall to the horizontal position. It'll stay firmly in place thanks to the tension control system. To put it away, simply lift it back up until it's vertical against the wall. When installing, make sure to use the provided mounting bracket with the six pre - drilled holes and attach it to a hard surface. Since the mounting hardware is exposed, if you ever need to move or modify the grab bar, you can easily access it.
