The ASI 3401-48 is a straight grab bar with a 1-1/4-inch diameter and a 48-inch length. It has a smooth finish and is made of 18-gauge stainless steel tubing with an appealing satin finish that reduces fingerprints while adding a nice shine. At both ends, there are 3-inch diameter flanges made of type-304 stainless steel, securely herliarc welded to the tubing. Each flange has three 7/32-inch diameter countersunk, predrilled holes, positioned about every 120 degrees for a secure installation. These holes are designed for No. 10 self-tapping screws or oval head mounting screws (not included). Once installed, the mounting hardware is fully exposed. This grab bar meets or exceeds all ADA requirements for grab bars.
Using the ASI 3401-48 grab bar is easy. First, gather the necessary No. 10 self - tapping screws or oval head mounting screws. Then, align the predrilled holes on the flanges with the mounting surface and insert the screws to secure the grab bar. When using the grab bar, make sure your hands are dry to avoid slipping. For maintenance, simply wipe the bar with a soft, damp cloth regularly to keep the satin finish looking great. Avoid using abrasive cleaners as they may damage the surface. If you notice any loose screws over time, tighten them to ensure the grab bar remains securely in place.
