The ASI 3401-12P is a high-quality straight grab bar. It has a 1-1/4-inch diameter and is 12 inches long. The peened surface offers a great nonslip grip. Crafted from 18-gauge stainless steel tubing with a satin finish, it resists fingerprints while looking shiny. At each end, there's a 3-inch diameter flange made of type-304 stainless steel, herliarc welded to the tube. Inside each flange, there are three 7/32-inch diameter countersunk, predrilled holes. These holes, spaced about every 120 degrees, are for No. 10 self-tapping or oval head mounting screws (not included). After mounting, the hardware is fully exposed. This grab bar meets or exceeds ADA requirements.
Using this grab bar is easy. First, choose a suitable location on the wall where you need support. Then, use the predrilled holes in the flanges to mount it with the appropriate screws (not included). Make sure to place the screws evenly to ensure a secure installation. When using the grab bar, hold it firmly to maintain balance. As for maintenance, simply wipe it with a soft cloth regularly to keep its satin finish looking good. Avoid using abrasive cleaners as they may damage the surface. Also, check the mounting periodically to ensure the screws are tight and the bar remains secure.
